We were the second generation to own and manage a family run engineering SME employing 150 people. We understand legacy guilt and how hard it can be to make the tough choices.
For nearly a decade we managed against near insolvency in a highly competitive environment, supplying to critical industries such as pharma, food, and rail. This was against the backdrop of Brexit, Covid and the war in Ukraine.
We learnt the hard way the challenges of a liquidation process operationally, culturally, and psychologically.
We failed because we didn't get the right help when we needed it.
